DSP-001 Cile Cook Home
History
Cile Cook Home was a nursing home that was brought to our attention by team member Steven Mitchell as it was something he remembered having some form of dark history behind its crumbling walls. From information from the client, the building itself was purchased and built as a residential home in the 1950s and later become an assisted living home once it was added upon. As we were told by the client that the building had a wonderful history and people had no issues at this location. The information that was given to us by locals and those that had heard from rumors had told our team that it was shut down sometime in the mid to late 1980s due to negligence or harmful actions towards the patients of the nursing home.
After signing all the paperwork with the client at 12 in the afternoon, she told us the brief history that she remembered about the place and showed us some pictures of the place when it was still a functioning nursing home. She went on to explain that the place was used as an assisted living home and employed some of those from the mental institution nearby to help clean the grounds and assist those living at the property. After the client left we began our walk-through of the property and took pictures and marking lines in our notes where we would perform our data collecting and paranormal research at this property. Due to the high amount of damage and safety risk due to the high grass, we decided to stay near the front and side of the main administration building.

Investigation
After beginning the Investigation itself at 7:30 P.M. we began announcing that we are Paranormal Hunters and that we come to ask some questions to them if they wanted. We began with just walking, placing K2 meter in locations, and using it as a yes and no situation. It would go off a few times to our questions, but after so long it just stopped. As far as we know the electricity to the place has been shut off especially since the roof of the place has caved in. We pulled out our spirit box and began running it, performing what is known as the Este Method, where one person wears headphones that cancel out any environment or others talking to be able to be heard. Another team member asks questions and if anything comes through the headphones that team member will say what is said. Team members Steven and Aaron asked the questions while team member Billy had the headphones on. All questions that were asked received an answer along with it being relevant.
Halfway into the investigation, we began to notice movement which at the time we assumed was animals until we investigated the side part of the building, and team members Billy, Steven, and Aaron all witnessed people moving in and out of the building. We had discovered that there had been some squatters living in the area of the Pig Pen in the far rear of the property. Team Members Steven and Aaron announced “We are not here for anything you doing. If you spook or scare us you will get a belly full of lead.” To give context team members Steven and Aaron were both armed with firearms and Billy was armed with Hornet Spray due to the property sitting in the woods we had to be armed and aware of hostile elements such as wild animals that could attack. Since we had become aware of these squatters we decided to pull back to Stevens Truck that we were using for transportation and as a nerve center, so that was able to see if someone was coming in our direction from any part of the building. After taking a small break, we began again at this location trying to perform Paranormal Research. Our K2 did go off, and Team Member Billy announced to Steven that a shadow was approaching from the right. There was no living human there, only a shadow full of black mass. At this point, our IR malfunctioned on the camera, but the camera continued to go and all lights were still on. It turned back on about five minutes before we left. We ended up using the spirit box and an app that was suggested at the time by a friend called “Necrophonic” which is made by chill seekers. After review of all footage, photos, and audio, we captured a lot of EVP, we captured some apparitions from what it seems, and the footage is for anyone to view to experience what we experience.
